Alex Ștefanov is an accomplished academic and industry expert specializing in cyber security and resilience for power grids. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Delft University of Technology, Alex focuses on Cyber-Physical Energy Systems and the resilience of transmission and distribution systems against high-impact low-frequency disturbances. In addition, Alex is the Technical Director of the Control Room of the Future project and leads the Cyber Resilient Power Grids team, developing advanced solutions for grid operation and cyber security. Previous roles include consulting at NovoGrid, engineering at ESB, and significant research positions at University College Dublin, culminating in a PhD focused on cyber-physical systems. Alex holds a Doctor of Philosophy from University College Dublin, a Master of Science, and a Bachelor of Science from the University Politehnica of Bucharest.
