Jo Vanbiervliet

Jo Vanbiervliet possesses extensive experience in the retail and operations sectors, currently serving as Advisor for Supermarkets & AD North at Delhaize Belgium since September 2015. In this role, Jo supports and advises affiliated parties on commercial and financial matters. Previous positions at Delhaize include HR Business Partner, responsible for 17 stores and overseeing HR strategy, and Project Manager for Operations Support, focusing on strategic initiatives within Retail Operations. Jo has also excelled as a Store Manager, earning a nomination for Store Manager of the Year in 2021. Prior to joining Delhaize, Jo served as a lifeguard and shore manager with IKWV, undertaking training and first aid responsibilities, and also gained experience in tourism event organization with the city of Middelkerke. Academically, Jo holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from KU Leuven and qualifications in lifeguarding from the West-Vlaams Opleidingscentrum voor Brandweer-, Reddings- en Ambulancediensten.
