Eliecer Leiton Avila

Eliecer Leiton Avila is a highly skilled software engineer with over 20 years of experience in the tech industry. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Delivery Hero since July 2020, Eliecer has successfully redesigned the Swimlanes API, a multi-region system for vendor categorization. Prior to this role, Eliecer worked at Backcountry.com for over 11 years, where responsibilities included designing a robust integration system between on-premise applications and a Cloud ERP system and leading a team of six engineers. Eliecer's earlier experience includes serving as Chief Architect at Isthmus Costa Rica, developing a Java-based package tracking application, and holding positions at Credomatic and ArtinSoft, focusing on developing and migrating various software applications. Eliecer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Costa Rica.
