Daniel Tackett, JD has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Daniel most recently served as the Head Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer at Delmar Mortgage starting in August 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Compliance professional at Community Mortgage Corporation from April 2019 to August 2023. Before venturing into the mortgage industry, Daniel worked at Tackett Insurance, Inc. as a Producer from May 2017 to March 2019. Daniel also gained legal experience as a Legal Extern at the Internal Revenue Service in July to August 2016. Daniel served as a Summer Law Clerk at Caribe, Inc., where they assisted the general counsel in researching various legal issues from May to August 2015. Additionally, they worked as a Global Studies Research Intern at St. Andrew's Episcopal Day School in early 2011, conducting research on early language learning and development. Daniel's legal internship experiences include positions at Hinds County Public Defender and Page, Kruger, & Holland, P.A. in 2010. Daniel Tackett, JD attended Millsaps College from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Anthropology. Daniel then went on to pursue their legal education at Samford University from 2014 to 2017, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. In addition to their formal education, Daniel has also obtained several certifications, including Life & Health Insurance from the Mississippi Insurance Department in May 2018, Insurance Producer - Property and Casualty from the Mississippi Insurance Department in October 2017, and VITA/TCE Certification from the Internal Revenue Service in November 2015.
