Sebastiaan van der Peijl

Sebastiaan van der Peijl is a seasoned professional with a strong background in strategy, policy services, and digital market policy. Currently serving as a Director at Deloitte Belgium since December 2018, Sebastiaan also co-founded the Urban Ecology Centre in Brussels in January 2013. Previous roles include serving as a Policy Officer for the European Commission's Digital Single Market from March 2017 to December 2018, and as a Senior Manager in Strategy and Policy Services at Deloitte from February 2008 to March 2017. Additional experience includes leadership as President of the Internationalist Foundation from June 2006 to 2016 and coordination roles within the EU Gateway Programme. Sebastiaan's career began with a traineeship at the Ministerie van Sociale Zaken, followed by employment at the European Commission's DG Employment. Sebastiaan holds a Master of Science in International Economics from Maastricht University, obtained between 2002 and 2006.
