Michael Segala

Michael Segala, Ph.D., currently serves as a Principal at Deloitte since October 2022, and as the Chief Executive Officer of SFL Scientific since September 2015. SFL Scientific specializes in developing AI strategies and building custom AI applications for a diverse range of clients, including S&P100 enterprises and government agencies. Previously, Michael worked as a Principal Data Scientist at Akamai Technologies, and as a Senior Data Scientist at Compete, Inc., where machine learning algorithms were employed to analyze behavioral clickstream data. Additional experience includes a role as a Data Scientist at Tessella, known for its science-powered technology consulting services. Michael's academic background includes a PhD in experimental high-energy physics from Brown University, focusing on data analysis from the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. Prior education includes a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Applied Mathematics from the University of Rhode Island.
