Jack Trachtenberg

Jack Trachtenberg is currently a Principal at Deloitte, specializing in state and local tax matters. They previously served as a Partner and Counsel at Reed Smith LLP and held the position of Deputy Commissioner and Taxpayer Rights Advocate at the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, where they established the state's first Office of the Taxpayer Rights Advocate. Jack is a recognized expert in tax law, having authored numerous publications and taught courses at Albany Law School and the University at Buffalo School of Law. Jack earned a J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo – Law School and holds both a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science and Public Policy from Case Western Reserve University.
