Chief Technology Officer, Raj Varma, is a specialist in materials development across a wide range of industries. Raj's responsibilities include leading R&D activities, strengthening analytical capabilities and initiating new market development programs at all four divisions. Prior to joining Delphon, Raj served as Director of Technology at Neocork Technologies, Inc., a leading manufacturer of synthetic wine cork, and before that as Commercial Innovation Manager at GLS Corporation, a global leader in thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs). Raj has extensive experience in concept-to-commercialization of materials to meet end use requirements. He has over 15 years of experience in developing materials technologies for major brands such as Pepsi, Tyco, Gallo, Baxter, Motorola and Procter & Gamble.
Raj trained as a chemical engineer and holds an MBA from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and a master of science degree in polymer engineering from the University of Akron, Ohio. He has presented more than 20 papers at various international conferences and holds various U.S. and global patents.
