Jacob Schmidt has a diverse range of work experience. Jacob is currently the Director of Compliance at Delta Defense LLC since September 2020. In addition, Jacob serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the U.S. Concealed Carry Association for Saving Lives, starting from March 2021. Prior to these roles, they worked at West Bend Mutual Insurance as a Corporate Attorney from September 2017 to September 2020 and as an Associate Attorney from June 2012 to September 2017. Jacob also has experience as a Research Assistant at Marquette University Law School, where they contributed to the development of a leadership program and drafted various student policies and regulations. Jacob has also served as a Campaign Manager for State Assembly Candidate John Marek, coordinating campaign activities and designing campaign literature. Additionally, Jacob worked as an Assistant Project Manager at the Wisconsin Family Council, overseeing a non-partisan voter education campaign and producing educational materials. Lastly, they gained valuable experience as an Intern for State Representative Scott Newcomer, conducting research, drafting responses to constituents, and organizing fundraisers and special events.
Jacob Schmidt completed their Juris Doctor degree at Marquette University Law School from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010. In 2016, they also obtained the CPCU certification from The Institutes.
