Katie Shipley

Katie Shipley is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in internal and corporate communications. Currently serving as the Internal Communications and Events Manager at Delta Dental of Colorado since January 2018, Katie has also held positions as a Senior Internal and Corporate Communications Specialist and an Internal & Corporate Communications Specialist. Prior to this role, Katie worked at the University of Denver from January 2016 to January 2018 as the Associate Director of Advancement Events and Assistant Director of College Events at the Daniels College of Business. Earlier career experience includes a decade at Dumb Friends League in various special events roles, culminating as Special Events Manager. Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, along with minors in Journalism and Mass Communications and Business, all obtained from the University of Iowa between 2001 and 2005.
