Melody Brownell

Melody Brownell is an accomplished software developer with extensive experience in web application technology and user interface design. Currently serving as the Web Application Tech Lead at Delta Dental of Iowa since March 2014, Melody specializes in the design and implementation of administrative platforms using Spring Boot and Oracle databases. Prior to this role, Melody held multiple positions at Principal Financial Group from February 2005 to February 2014, progressing from IT Application Analyst - Lead to Sr. Web Consultant, where responsibilities included developing front-end UI solutions and creating custom themes for IBM WebSphere Portal. Melody also worked as Manager of Educational Technology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine from 1999 to 2003, focusing on website development, eLearning initiatives, and mobile computing strategies. Melody holds a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design for Online Learning from Capella University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Iowa State University.
