Mike Elam is a seasoned insurance professional with extensive experience in underwriting, sales, and customer relations. Currently serving as Vice President of Underwriting and Actuarial and Vice President of Sales and Customer Relations at Delta Dental of Iowa since December 2013, Mike is responsible for building and developing sales channel relationships. Additionally, Mike mentors startups as a Business Mentor at the Global Insurance Accelerator since 2016. Previous roles include AVP of the Collector Car Program at CWG Collector Car, Chairman of the Dallas County Republican Party, and Vice President of Personal Lines at Union Insurance Company. Mike's career began at Allstate Insurance Company in various managerial roles in underwriting and sales. Academically, Mike holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business and a BS in Business Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
