Delta Diagnostics
Peter Harmsma is an accomplished researcher and scientist with extensive experience in nano-photonics and sensing applications. Currently serving as a researcher at Delta Diagnostics since April 2018, Peter contributes to the development of innovative diagnostic systems based on photonic biosensor technology. Previously, Peter has held significant roles at TNO as a scientist, focusing on applied research in various material systems, and served as a program manager at CITC, overseeing the photonics packaging program. Peter’s background includes a solid foundation as a development engineer at ASML, where contributions were made to lithography equipment, and co-founding ThreeFive Photonics. Peter obtained a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Delft University, specializing in integrated optics.

Delta Diagnostics
Delta Diagnostics was founded in 2018 as a spin-off from TNO – The Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research. It commercializes the patented biosensor technology that has been developed at the Optics department of TNO.They believe that the availability of their rapid, sensitive and low-cost biosensors and instruments will lead tonew point-of-care diagnostic tests that will rely on the accurate concentration measurement of a panel of biomarkers within minutes.Since its founding, the company has grown steadily towards the highly-experienced and well-balanced team this is currently involved. During this time, it has worked hard to perfect its biosensing technology and prepare for the launch of its first product.Delta Diagnostics primarily focusses on the realization of its diagnostic test development platform and will partner with test developers to co-develop specific diagnostic tests.
