JW Meade

JW Meade started their work experience in 2017 as a Network Specialist in the United States Air Force. In this role, they provided technical support for the Air Force security system network, including installation, maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting for physical and logical IT systems. They were responsible for maintaining the DoD's largest Priority Level 1 and 2 restricted area and its network, providing protection to $44 billion B-2 aircraft and DoD assets. They also performed system administration tasks, including device and software patch updates for critical mission infrastructure systems.

In 2018, JW Meade completed training at Keesler Air Force Base as a Cyber Transport Systems Specialist. Here, they learned how to deploy, sustain, troubleshoot, and repair standard voice, video, and data network infrastructure systems, primarily using Cisco and Juniper equipment. They also gained training in managing and writing Air Force and DoD Systems regulations, such as SOPs and DISA STIG Compliance. Additionally, they became well-versed in managing secure authentication methods, utilizing public key infrastructure (PKI) technologies and procedures.

JW Meade then joined Parsons Corporation in 2021 as a System Administrator. In this role, they provided their expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems. They worked in this position until 2023.

Currently, JW Meade is working as a Cyber Operations Specialist at Delta Solutions and Strategies. The start date for this position is in July 2023, and there is no end date provided yet.

JW Meade began their education journey in 2019 when they enrolled in Western Governors University. They pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Cloud Computing, which they are expected to complete in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, JW Meade obtained several certifications. In March 2018, they achieved the CompTIA Security+ certification. They continued their certification journey by obtaining the CompTIA A+ certification in March 2020 and the CompTIA Network+ certification in February 2021.

JW Meade also obtained the IT Operations Specialist – CIOS Stackable Certification and the Secure Infrastructure Specialist - CSIS Stackable Certification, both awarded by CompTIA in March and February 2021, respectively. They further expanded their knowledge and expertise by completing the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services in October 2021.

Moreover, JW Meade obtained the Linux Essentials certification from the Linux Professional Institute in July 2022. They also hold a Top Secret Clearance SCI from the United States Air Force, which they obtained in April 2019.

Lastly, JW Meade's educational accomplishments include obtaining the ITIL 4 Foundation Level certification, obtained at an unknown month and year from PeopleCert.
