Dan Williams

Partner at Delta-v Capital

Dan is a Partner at Delta-v Capital where he spends time primarily in the enterprise software space. His areas of interest include security, devops, analytics, and vertical software. Dan led the firm’s investments in Socrata (acquired by Tyler Technologies), CloudBees, Teamworks, Artic Wolf, Venafi and BitPay. He currently sits on the board of CloudBees and Teamworks.

Prior to joining Delta-v, Dan was an investor in American Capital’s (Nasdaq:ACAS) leveraged buyout group where he was involved with the acquisition of AAIPharma (acquired by Madison Dearborn) and Future Food Brands (acquired by Lakeview Farms). Previously, Dan was a member of Cisco’s corporate development team focused on cloud and analytics. Dan started his career as a software developer at Cisco where he later held operational roles in Product Management. He holds a patent for an encryption and authentication algorithm used in low-power low-latency devices such as SCADA and RFID.

Dan graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and received his MBA with Honors as a Palmer Scholar from Wharton.
