Sr. Advisor In River Dynamics And Inland Water Transport at Deltares

Amgad Omer is a highly experienced professional in the field of water management and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Advisor in River Dynamics and Inland Water Transport at Deltares since September 2015. In this role, Amgad Omer manages sediment management projects in rivers with reservoirs and conducts research on reservoir sedimentation. Previously, Amgad Omer held positions at the Dams Implementation Unit, including Deputy Resident Engineer, where responsibilities involved overseeing the Setit Dam and coordinating the Gedaref Water Supply Project. Additional experience includes serving as a Senior Morphodynamic Modeler at the Hydraulic Research Centre and managing the Technical Office for the Upper Atbara Dam Complex. Amgad Omer earned an MSc with distinction in Water Science and Engineering from UNESCO-IHE and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Khartoum.
