Bernadette Wichman is a Senior Advisor and Researcher at Deltares since January 2008, focusing on dike design feasibility studies, ecological designs, and monitoring techniques. Past positions include Project Leader at Rijkswaterstaat from 1991 to 2008, where research encompassed soft soil engineering and dike monitoring. Previous experience includes serving as a Researcher at TU Delft (1994-1999), investigating biogenic gas production in contaminated dredged mud, and at Radboud University Nijmegen (1988-1990), where an electrochemical Scanning Tunneling Microscope was developed for crystal surface studies. Bernadette Wichman holds a PhD in soft soil engineering/consolidation from TU Delft and an MSc in physics from Radboud University.
