Femke Bisschop is an Advisor and Researcher in Coastal and Offshore Engineering at Deltares since April 2023, focusing on resilient ports and coasts. Prior experience includes a role as an intern at Royal HaskoningDHV, working on the Singapore Coastal Climate Adaptation project, where a Nature Based Solutions toolbox was developed for coastal protection. Femke also served as a student assistant at TU Delft in urban water and environmental technology, and in concrete and steel structures. Additionally, Femke held the position of editor-in-chief of the civ engineering magazine ExtraCT at the student association Practische Studie. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Hydraulic Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology, supplemented by a VWO diploma from Christelijk Lyceum Delft.
