Jan Blinde is a senior advisor and researcher at Deltares, with a career spanning from 1981 to the present. Specializing in geotechnics and dike- and embankment technology, Jan Blinde has played a key role as a geotechnical expert in various dike reinforcement projects, as well as in the design and construction of railway and highway embankments. In addition to contributions at Deltares, Jan Blinde serves as a member of several project teams and organizations focused on water safety and dike design, including Expertise Netwerk Waterveiligheid, Adviesteam Dijkontwerp, and Kennisplatform Risicobenadering. Jan Blinde also held a senior advisory position in geotechnics at Veiligheid Nederland in Kaart from 2006 to 2014 and is an alumnus of HTS Dordrecht.
