Research Coastal Structures And Waves at Deltares

Joana Van Nieuwkoop is a civil engineer specializing in coastal structures and wave modelling with a strong academic and professional background. Currently employed at Deltares since March 2013, Joana focuses on research related to coastal structures and waves. Previously, Joana served as an Associate Research Fellow at the University of Exeter from March 2011 to December 2012, studying the Cornish wave climate and developing operational wave models. Joana also worked at Deltares earlier in 2010, engaging in wave modelling projects, and held the position of project engineer at Witteveen+Bos from December 2007 to July 2010, concentrating on coastal and river modelling. Joana obtained a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology between 2001 and 2007.
