Koen Castelein is a Project Engineer at Deltares since September 2023, previously serving as a Research Consultant at TNO from October 2017 to August 2023, contributing to the Rijswijk Centre of Sustainable Geo Energy. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Engineer at Shell (November 2013 - October 2017), a Mechanical Engineer at Ovivo (November 2012 - October 2013), and a Mechanical Engineer at Innecs BV (February 2006 - October 2012), where work involved developing, designing, testing, and assembling a 250 kWe prototype gas turbine. Koen Castelein holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Energy) from De Haagse Hogeschool/The Hague University of Applied Sciences (2002 - 2006) and a secondary technical qualification from Leidse Instrumentmakers School (1999 - 2002).
