Martin Verlaan

Research Instutute at Deltares

Martin Verlaan is currently a Professor of Data Assimilation at TU Delft, holding a part-time position since September 2016. Concurrently, Martin Verlaan has been affiliated with Deltares as a researcher since January 2009. Prior to these roles, Martin Verlaan served as an Assistant Professor at TU Delft from 1994 to 2016 and worked at Rijkswaterstaat from 1994 to 2007. Martin Verlaan earned a PhD from Delft University of Technology between 1993 and 1997 and holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Twente, obtained from 1988 to 1993.
