Sonja Wanke is a Water Resources Management Expert at Deltares, with a focus on ecosystem services, climate adaptation, and integrated water resource management. Since March 2017, Sonja has engaged in process facilitation, data management, stakeholder engagement, project planning, and financial management. Previous experience includes roles as a Marine and Coastal Management Research Intern, where research involved ecosystem services analysis and Bayesian network modeling, and a research intern at UFZ, focusing on constructed wetland roofs. Earlier internships included ecological engineering and marine conservation, with research topics covering wetland efficiency and sustainable reef management in Fiji. Sonja holds a Master of Science in Environmental and Resource Management from Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg and a Bachelor of Science in Water Management from HZ University of Applied Sciences.
