Deltares
Tjitske Geertsema is a researcher and adviser in hydrology at Deltares since November 2019, following a PhD candidacy at Wageningen University & Research from September 2014 to November 2019, where the focus was on water retention impacts on lowland rivers within the 'RiverCare' program. Prior experience includes junior researcher and project assistant roles at Wageningen University & Research, contributing to projects on river morphology in peat environments and multi-scale modeling, as well as improvements to academic programs in soil, water, and environment studies. Tjitske also completed an internship at Deltares in 2011, working on a model of the Pearl River Delta. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Hydrology from Wageningen University & Research and Delft University of Technology, completed in 2014.
