Deltares
Tom Bosma has extensive experience in environmental science and research, currently serving as an Expert/Researcher at Deltares since October 2022. Prior to this role, Bosma was a Scientific Researcher at Wageningen University & Research from April 2015 to December 2023, focusing on the biodegradation of environmental pollutants and microbial population characterization. Additional roles include Manager of HSE at Utrecht University (2015-2016), Laboratory Manager at Utrecht University (2003-2014) overseeing lab management and international projects, and various leadership positions at TNO (1996-2003) managing departments related to geo-environment and environmental biotechnology. Previous research experience includes senior scientist at Eawag (1992-1996), project manager in the Soil Research Program (1988-1992), and PhD student at Wageningen University & Research (1986-1992). Bosma holds an MSc in microbiology from Wageningen University and has a background in practical applications and communication within the environmental sector.
