Hojjat Jafarpour

Hojjat Jafarpour is the Founder and CEO of DeltaStream, Inc. since December 2020. Prior to this role, Jafarpour worked as a Software Engineer at Confluent from August 2016 to November 2020, where the KSQL project was created, serving as an open-source streaming SQL engine for Apache Kafka. Jafarpour also held positions as Chief Architect for Big Data Computation Services and Principal Software Engineer at Tidemark, focusing on in-memory computation engines based on Apache Spark. Earlier experience includes serving as Tech Lead and Manager at Quantcast, Principal Software Engineer at Informatica, and Research Staff Member at NEC Laboratories America. Jafarpour began the academic journey in Computer Science at UC Irvine, earning a PhD between 2004 and 2009.
