Luis Fernando Ortiz

Luis Fernando Ortiz has held a variety of roles in the areas of engineering and business since 2007. Luis Fernando began their career as a Bamboo Research Engineer for Centro Amazonico de Desarrollo Forestal (CADEFOR), followed by a Project Engineer role at Grupo Ultramar in 2009. In 2007, they also founded BambooDynamics. In 2010, they were a Project Engineer at Terminal Pacifico Sur Valparaíso (TPS). From 2011 to 2015, they served as the Commercial and Innovation Director at Terminal Puerto Arica. In 2018, they were a Co-Founder of SC Angeles and a Board Member of Delta Cargo SRL. Since 2019, they have been the Founder & CEO of DeltaX.

Luis Fernando Ortiz has a diverse educational background. Luis Fernando obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Universidad Nur between 2003 and 2006. Luis Fernando then studied Industrial and Systems Engineering at Universidad Privada de Santa Cruz de la Sierra - UPSA from 2003 to 2007. From 2015 to 2017, Ortiz completed a Master in Business Administration (MBA) at Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. Luis Fernando then obtained a Master of Public Administration - MPA from Harvard University in 2018. Ortiz also has a number of certifications, including Customer-Focused Innovation from Stanford University in 2013, Port Management from APEC-Antwerp/Flanders Port Training Center in 2013, Negotiation from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in 2012, Project Management from Universidad de Chile in 2009, Bamboo Management from Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira in 2008, and Bamboo Management from Zhejiang University in 2007.
