Ethan Farmer

Ethan Farmer has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Ethan is currently working as the Director of Global Cloud Security at Deltek. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Manager of Cloud Security Engineering at the same company.

Before joining Deltek, Ethan worked at Trilogy Education as an Instructor for Professional Education at the University of Utah. Here, they taught a 24-week cybersecurity boot camp and also had experience with teaching full stack MERN boot camps.

Their previous experience includes working as a Technical Program Manager in Application Security at Cvent, where they managed security programs. At Symantec, they served as a Lead Software Security Engineer, overseeing the Security Analytics network forensic product. Ethan also worked as a Software Developer at Vault Denim, collaborating with the CFO and COO to develop a dashboard and address systemic issues with the ERP system.

Earlier in their career, Ethan held roles such as Lead Web Developer at DAZ Productions, Software Engineer at ThomasARTS, Senior PHP Developer at Galileo Processing, and Web Developer/Consultant at Granite Seed. Ethan also owned and led a software development company called Toolbox Software Corporation. Throughout their career, Ethan has gained expertise in various programming languages, frameworks, and security domains.

Ethan Farmer obtained their MBA from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelors in Business with a focus on Computer Information Systems from Idaho State University between 1999 and 2002. Additionally, Ethan obtained an Associates degree in Floral Design Management from Ricks College from 1996 to 1998. Ethan also holds certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council, obtained in May 2021, and Security+ from CompTIA, obtained in October 2017.
