Stage 3 Floating Crane Operator at DEME Group

Dirk Robberechts is an experienced offshore crane operator currently employed at DEME Group since January 2023, holding the position of Offshore Crane Operator Stage 2. Previously, Dirk worked with Sarens from January 1998 to January 2023 as a Senior Crane Operator and Heavy Lift Supervisor for the Tengiz TCO FGP Project in Kazakhstan, overseeing rigging operations and training local personnel on crawler cranes. Starting as a rigger, Dirk advanced to operating heavy cranes, including the CC8800. Earlier experience includes serving as Head of Production on the night shift at Eternit S/A from 1991 to 1998 and as a mechanic at Procter & Gamble from November 1989 to August 1990. Dirk holds a degree in car mechanics obtained from Technical School Mechelen, completed in 1989.
