Olivier Maes

Olivier Maes has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy industry. Olivier served as the Director of Strategic Planning & Growth at DEME Group from September 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the Director at G-tec starting in November 2017. Olivier also held Director roles at High Wind, A2SEA A/S, COSCOCS-DEME New Energy Engineering, and GeoSea InfraSea Solutions. In addition, they served as the Finance Director - Executive Committee at DEME Offshore from January to August 2019. Olivier Maes was the CFO at GeoSea NV (DEME) from April 2013 to January 2019. Olivier was also a Director at FLiDAR from October 2013 to September 2015. Before their career in the renewable energy sector, they owned OMC GCV from January 2002 to April 2013.

Olivier Maes has a diverse educational background. Olivier attended Sint-Lodewijkscollege Brugge from 1984 to 1990, where they studied Latin and Mathematics. After completing their secondary education, Olivier enrolled at KU Leuven and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Handelsingenieur (Business Engineering) in 1995. Olivier then pursued further studies at KU Leuven and earned a Master's degree in Science of Marketing in 1996. In 2015, they participated in The Grand Tour, a Leadership & People Management Programme. Additionally, they attended the London Business School in the same year to enhance their knowledge in the field of M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions). Olivier also has a significant history with INSEAD, where they completed the LEAP - Leadership Excellence program in 2018 and the IN-BOARD Belgium program in 2021. Currently, they are enrolled at INSEAD in the Executive Presence and Influence program, which they started in 2022 and is still ongoing.
