Justin P.

Justin P. has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as an Arts and Entertainment Contributor for The Stuyvesant Spectator in 2014. In 2015, they interned at Red Fuse Communications as a Digital Natives Intern. In 2017, they were a Software Development Intern at Shared_Studios, where they wrote Python scripts and established workflows with macOS and Linux-based systems and associated peripheral devices. In 2018, they were an Engineering Intern at Riparian LLC, where they built features and resolved bugs of a life science application utilizing a Vue. js, Django, and PostgreSQL stack. In 2020, they were a Product Developer at Urbanity, LLC, where they spearheaded a prototype of an Asian American centric news platform by integrating Python web-scrapers with Heroku and Google Drive. Justin also improved the company's tech infrastructure by moving DNS management and web hosting to cost-effective platforms. Currently, Justin P. is a Software Engineer at Democracy Works.

Justin P. began their educational journey in 2012 when they attended Stuyvesant High School. Justin then attended Hunter College and Macaulay Honors College at The City University of New York from 2016-2020, where they obtained two Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science. In 2020, they completed a single semester of study abroad at Queen Mary University of London. In March 2022, Justin P. obtained five certifications from Coursera in Build Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototypes, Conduct UX Research and Test Early Concepts, Create High-Fidelity Designs and Prototypes in Figma, Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design, and Start the UX Design Process: Empathize, Define, and Ideate.
