Rhett Gough has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2010 as a Sales Associate for Food Lion. In 2012, they worked as a Product Analyst for Renfro Corporation, and in 2014, they worked as an International Sourcing and Product Development Intern for the same company. In 2013, they were a Distribution and Promotion Coordinator for Talking Sidewalks. In 2015, they were Vice President of Business Development for AIESEC Chapel Hill, and Client Solutions for Demographics Pro. Finally, in 2017, they were Production Director for The Summit Church - Raleigh-Durham, NC.

Rhett Gough attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Political Science.
