Dan Katz has over 20 years of professional experience in the technology industry. From 1997 to 2000, they worked as a Trainer and Customer Service Representative at Amazon.com. In 2000, they began working as a Web Developer for Simwell Productions. From 2001 to 2008, they held various roles such as Trip Leader for Onshore Offshore Expeditions, Lead Web Developer for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, and Senior Software Developer, Software Architect, and Master Solutions Architect & Team Lead for ElectricSage, LLC. From 2008 to 2013, they were the Vice President of Technology Solutions at INADEV Corporation. From 2010 to 2015, they were the WCM Practice Technology Manager, Software Architect, and Senior Solutions Architect for Blackstone Technology Group. In 2015, they joined Acquia as the Director of Demo Engineering (Presales), Senior Manager of Solutions Engineering, and Manager of Presales. In 2021, they became a Member of PreSales Collective and in 2022, they became the Head of Solutions Engineering at Demostack.

Dan Katz has a diverse educational background. Dan obtained a BA in Biology & Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1995. Dan then went on to receive an NXLevel Certificate from Fort Lewis College in 2006, and a TOEFL Certificate from STESL in 1996. In 2009, they earned an MS in Technology Management from George Mason University - School of Business. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including an Acquia Certified Drupal 8 Site Builder from Acquia in 2016, a Certified CMMI Associate from CMMI Institute in 2014, and a Federal CIO Certificate from GSA CIO University in 2011.
