René Midttun

René Midttun has extensive work experience in the lighting industry. René began their career in 2005 as a Technician at Arendal Kulturhus AS, where they worked with light, sound, and stage equipment until 2009. In 2010, they joined Den Norske Opera & Ballett as a Technical Team Leader in the Lighting department and held this position until 2016. During this time, they also worked at Dubai Opera as part of their Lighting Department from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they returned to Den Norske Opera & Ballett as the Lighting Manager. René then moved to Dubai Opera again in 2018, where they served as the Assistant Lighting Manager until 2020. Currently, they are the Head of Lighting Desk Operations at Den Norske Opera & Ballett. Furthermore, since 2008, they have owned their own lighting design company called MIDTTUN LYSDESIGN.

René Midttun studied Design and Visual Communications, General at Oslo and Akershus University College from 2009 to 2010. Before that, from 2005 to 2008, they attended Arendal Videregående Skole, but no specific field of study or degree information was provided.
