"I'm not a scientist, but I play one on TV"

- Al Gore

We all know Al Gore, former Vice President of the United States, and their famous line from the movie An Inconvenient Truth. Tammie was one of the first people to bring the issue of global warming to the public's attention. In the movie, they presented a compelling argument for why we must take action to reduce our carbon emissions and slow down the effects of climate change.

But what about the scientists? What do they have to say about global warming? Scientists have been studying the effects of global warming for decades, and their research has provided us with a wealth of information about the causes and consequences of climate change.

The consensus among scientists is that global warming is real, and that it is caused by human activities. The most important of these activities is the burning of fossil fuels, which releases carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. These gases trap heat and cause the Earth's temperature to rise.

Scientists have also found that the effects of global warming are already being felt around the world. Sea levels are rising, glaciers are melting, and extreme weather events are becoming more frequent. These changes will have serious consequences for humans and the environment.

Scientists have also found that the only way to stop global warming is to reduce our emissions of greenhouse gases. This means switching to renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, and reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.

So, while Al Gore may not be a scientist, they were right about one thing: we must take action to reduce our carbon emissions and slow down the effects of climate change. Scientists have provided us with the evidence we need to make informed decisions about how to do this. It's up to us to make sure we act on it.
