Murat Demiray

Murat Demiray has extensive work experience in the banking sector. Murat started their career at Iktisat Bankasi in 1997, where they worked as an Internal Auditor, assisting the senior auditor in the audit process. Murat later became a Senior Internal Auditor, responsible for conducting general audits, inspections, and investigations on behalf of the Board of Directors.

In 2002, Demiray joined DenizBank as a Senior Internal Auditor. Murat managed the audit team and conducted audits in various branches, head office divisions, and affiliates of the bank. Murat also participated in the acquisition process of Tarişbank, where they audited their balance sheet. Later, they became the Regional Sales Assistant Manager in the Commercial Banking department.

In 2005, Demiray was promoted to the role of Assistant Manager in Commercial Banking, where they focused on understanding and providing solutions for the financial needs of commercial banking customers. Murat managed the existing customer portfolio and expanded it by adding new customers.

In 2007, they became a Branch Manager, where their main goal was to establish a successful branch by organizing a competent team and acquiring new clients. Murat led the team in SME, retail, and operations business lines, ensuring efficient and profitable customer service.

In 2011, Demiray was appointed as the Corporate Credits Department Head, responsible for overseeing the credit risk of corporate and commercial segment clients. Murat managed a team, analyzed and structured credit requests, and monitored the financial performance of the credit portfolio.

Most recently, they served as the SVP at Denizbank Corporate&Commercial Credit Risk Department, where they continued managing credit risk for corporate and commercial clients, including niche sectors such as shipping, municipalities & public finance, and sports clubs. Murat supervised their team in analyzing and finalizing credit requests, as well as managing the exposure of the credit portfolio.

Throughout their career, Murat Demiray has shown expertise in credit risk management, auditing, customer relationship management, and team leadership.

Murat Demiray attended Istanbul University from 1993 to 1997, where they studied Economics. Murat then went on to study Banking at Marmara University from 1998 to 2002.
