Will Atlas

Will Atlas has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Will started their career as an IT Intern at A. Finkl & Sons Co. in 2011. Will then worked as a Freelance Network and Web Consultant, providing consultation on network upgrades and web development until 2011.

In 2011, Will joined SingleHop LLC as a System Administrator, troubleshooting and capacity planning on web, application, and database servers. Will also worked as a Developer and a DevOps/Automation Engineer within the company, where they focused on comprehensive systems administration, low-level feature programming, and standardizing internal infrastructure.

From 2013 to 2017, Will served as a DevOps Engineer at Discovery Education, working on the maintenance and operation of voice and data networks.

In 2012, Will founded OpenReg LLC and worked as a Principal until 2018. During this time, they provided leadership and expertise in various projects.

In 2018, Will became the Co-Founder and CTO of Zentainer, an organization focused on assisting distributors in building websites. Will played a key role in developing healthy culture, healthy systems, and ensuring client satisfaction.

From 2017 to 2022, Will held various roles at SpotHero, a company specializing in parking solutions. Will started as a Senior Engineer I - Platform and eventually became an Engineering Manager and Squad Leader for Developer Tools. Their responsibilities included managing internal platforms, product management, and guiding collaborative decision-making.

Most recently, Will joined Deno in 2023 as a Founding Site Reliability Engineer.

Will Atlas graduated from Cretin-Derham Hall in 2007 with a high school degree. Will then enrolled at DePaul University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Network Technologies. In 2016, they pursued a Full Stack Web Development Certification at freeCodeCamp, specializing in Computer Software Engineering. Additionally, in March 2021, Will obtained a certification in Software Architecture: Domain-Driven Design from LinkedIn.
