Maricela Lechuga

Maricela Lechuga, Esq., CIPM, CIPP/US/E, currently serves as Legal Counsel and Data Privacy Lead at Denodo, a position held since June 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Legal Counsel at Denodo and Airport Commissioner for Santa Clara County, where Maricela championed a grassroots campaign against lead-based aviation fuel. Previous legal positions include Staff Attorney at the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, where Maricela litigated unlawful detainer proceedings, and Legislative Advisor with the City of San José, drafting significant legislation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Maricela has also contributed to US immigration law as a Legal Fellow at Tahirih Justice Center and gained experience at the U.S. Department of Justice. Maricela earned a JD from American University and participated in the Young American Leaders Program at Harvard Business School.
