Wei Xia is an accomplished professional in the field of research and development, currently serving as the Director of Research and Development at DeNova since June 2025. Previously, Wei held the position of Lead Scientist at Mara from June 2018 to June 2025, where leadership was demonstrated in the Biomass Processing & Analytical Chemistry group, managing a team of 8-12 scientists. Wei's earlier experience includes a research associate role at The Marine Lipids Lab/CIFT, focusing on cannabinoid analysis and supervising graduate students, as well as serving as a research assistant and teaching assistant at Dalhousie University, where expertise was developed in trace level analysis of compounds in oils and organic chemistry.
