Dejan Hušman

Co-Founder & CEO at denovoMATRIX

Dejan Hušman is the Co-Founder and CEO of denovoMATRIX since 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a PhD Candidate at Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden from 2013 to 2016. Dejan also served as an Assistant Scientist at B CUBE, TU Dresden from 2012 to 2013 and at Universitätsklinikum Carl Gustav Carus from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, they worked on various projects, such as Biofunctional Polymer Materials at Max Bergman Center of Biomaterials in 2011 and Molecular Mechanisms of Radiosensitivity of the Human Genome at Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences in 2010. In 2009, they were involved in the generation of two Knockout mutants of Lsc B and Lsc C in Pseudomonas syringae pv. DC3000 at Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology. Dejan started their career at the American International School of Budapest as a Camp Sports Advisor in 2007.

Dejan Hušman completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemistry from Technische Universität Dresden, from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they pursued a Masters of Science degree in Molecular BioEngineering from Technische Universität Dresden between 2010 and 2012. Their undergraduate studies were completed at Jacobs University Bremen, where they obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemical Engineering from 2007 to 2010.
