James Hinton

James Hinton has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. James is currently serving as the Director of Commercial Finance at Dense Air. Prior to this, they worked at Hyperoptic Ltd. where they held the positions of Director of Commercial Finance & FP&A and Head of Finance, Operations. Before joining Hyperoptic Ltd., James was a Senior Finance Manager at John Lewis, where they led a team and managed budgets for marketing, capital investment, and head office costs. James also has experience as a Senior Finance Manager at Tesco PLC, where they successfully improved operating profit for a category with a turnover of approximately £10bn. James began their career at EY as an Assistant Director in the Special Situations Group of the Corporate Restructuring department. During their time at EY, they led advisory projects providing strategic advice to distressed businesses. Overall, James Hinton possesses a strong background in finance and management.
