Dental Assisting National Board
Michael Slattery has extensive experience in administrative and educational roles, currently serving as an Administrative Assistant at the Dental Assisting National Board since April 2018. Previously, Michael worked as a Student Ambassador for Routes into Languages from September 2013 to September 2016, promoting language learning and cultural exchange through various events. An International Intern at CENTRE DE PLONGEE DES ILETS in Guadeloupe during April to July 2015, Michael gained practical and administrative skills in a unique work environment. Additionally, as an International Project Manager for FutureSense Group in Peru from August 2014 to March 2015, responsibilities included organizing community projects and managing volunteer expeditions. Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Foreign Languages from Newcastle University, earned between 2012 and 2016.
Dental Assisting National Board
The Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) was founded in 1980 and is the organization responsible for dental assistant certifications. A total of nearly 37,000 dental assistants are DANB certified nationwide. DANB is a nonprofit organization that is part of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence. The CDA and COA certification programs offeredby DANB have been accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
