Patrick Hayes has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit sector. Patrick started their career in 1991, holding various communication and resource development positions in different organizations. In 2002, they became the Executive Director of The Park People, where they were responsible for program development, fundraising, and partnerships. After that, they served as the Vice President of Development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, managing a department that raised $14 million annually. In 2014, they worked as an independent consultant for CAMFED, focusing on fundraising and program strengthening. Patrick also served as a Fellow for Kiva.org, monitoring micro-loan programs and creating content. Patrick has experience as the Chief Development Officer for Water For People, managing a team and generating annual revenue. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a consultant and Vice President of Development for Brent's Place. Currently, Patrick is the Vice President of Development for Dental Lifeline Network.

Patrick Hayes has a BS in Journalism with a focus on Journalism and Sociology from Oklahoma State University. Patrick also holds a Master's degree in Environmental Policy & Management from the University of Denver. In addition, they obtained a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from Bridge TEFL in January 2014.
