Helom Berhane

Helom Berhane has over three years of work experience in the technology field. From August 2016 to July 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer at BUILDERS Studios. In July 2017, they joined Actualize Therapy as the Principal Software Engineer and played a key role in developing the company's suite of mobile and web apps for treating anxiety and depression. During their time there, they led product development through a successful randomized controlled trial, securing $5M in funding, and built and deployed iOS apps and a React-based patient management dashboard. Helom also managed a team of Android developers and created a highly secure, HIPAA-compliant cloud infrastructure on AWS. In July 2019, they joined Dentologie as the Head of Technology.

Helom Berhane has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, they have a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Systems & Information Technology from the same university.
