Andrew Bates is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in lending and trade finance transactions. Currently serving as Counsel in the Venture Technology and Emerging Companies/Banking and Finance Groups at Dentons since July 2021, Andrew represents borrowers and lenders in various lending scenarios, including venture debt and asset-based loans. Prior roles include Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Citi, where responsibilities covered trade-related transactions, and Senior Associate at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, focusing on asset-based lending arrangements. Andrew's broad expertise spans several prestigious law firms, such as Proskauer Rose LLP, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, and Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where significant contributions included negotiating complex financial agreements for private equity and other financial institutions.
