Previously, Purvis held various legal positions, including Partner at Stephenson Harwood LLP and Senior Associate at Mayer Brown International LLP. Purvis obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from The University of Manchester and a Diploma in Law from Nottingham Law School.
