Zach Carlson has a diverse work experience in various finance and operations roles. Zach most recently served as the Director of Finance and Operations at the Denver Children's Advocacy Center. Prior to that, they worked for iDE (International Development Enterprises) as the Director of Finance and Operations in Mozambique. Zach also held roles as the Finance and Operations Manager in Mozambique and as a Project Coordinator for the International Organization for Migration (IOM), where they managed the opening and evaluation of a sub-office and coordinated a data collection project. Additionally, Zach worked as a Field Coordinator for IOM, overseeing infrastructure improvements in relocation communities. Zach also has experience as a Project Manager at Travessia Beach Lodge and as a Community Health Volunteer for the Peace Corps. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Special Research Project Consultant for the Desert Alliance for Community Empowerment, analyzing economic improvements. Zach also served as the Finance and Office Manager for the Wisconsin Council on Children & Families and the Finance and Officer Manager for Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco, managing finances and budgeting.

Zach Carlson received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from Grinnell College in 2003.

Denver Children's Advocacy Center (DCAC) serves children who have been sexually abused, neglected, or traumatized by witnessing violence. DCAC provides friendly, family-supportive services in one central location or close by. Our mission is to: prevent abuse. strengthen families. restore childhood. Our goal is to ensure that every child in Denver and neighboring counties who has been traumatized by sexual abuse, or by witnessing homicide or domestic violence receives immediate, compassionate and effective investigation, assessment and, if needed, mental health treatment. DCAC never charges for its services and we never place time limits on healing.
