Joseph Amundsen

Joseph Amundsen is an accomplished educational leader with significant experience in school transformation and improvement. Since April 2012, Joseph has served as the Executive Director of School Transformation at Denver Public Schools, where oversight includes teams focused on School Improvement, Federal Programs, Native American Culture & Equity, and Black Student Success. Prior roles at Denver Public Schools include Director of School Improvement and Associate Director of School Design & Intensive Support, where Joseph successfully managed teams and led initiatives that improved school performance. Earlier experience includes teaching and administration roles at Baltimore City Public Schools, along with contributions as a Principal Resident with Teach For America. Joseph holds a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from The Johns Hopkins University and additional credentials in school leadership and administration.
