Becky Echtenkamp

Becky Echtenkamp is a seasoned zookeeper currently holding the position of Zookeeper-Nights at the Denver Zoological Foundation since September 2021. Previously, Echtenkamp gained extensive experience at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden from September 2013 to January 2020, where responsibilities included daily husbandry, diet preparation, and conducting animal encounters across various species, including large carnivores and exotic mammals. Echtenkamp's earlier roles include various positions at the Newport Aquarium and the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, showcasing expertise in animal care, presentation, and interpretive education. Echtenkamp holds a degree in Zoology from Colorado State University and has pursued international studies in ecosystems and wildlife management at the University of Pretoria.
