Kostas Karayannakos

Kostas Karayannakos, PhD, is an experienced executive in the energy sector, currently serving as Executive Director of Commercial Activities and Executive Director of Gas Supply, Commercial and International Activities at DEPA Commercial S.A. since March 2010. In addition, Kostas is a Board Member at IGI Poseidon SA, which focuses on the Gas Interconnector Greece-Italy. Previously, Kostas held the position of Executive Officer at ICGB AD, responsible for the Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria, and served as Director General at the Ministry of National Defence. Other notable roles include Executive Vice Chairman at the Consignment & Loans Fund and Head of Staff at the Greek Ministry of Finance. Kostas holds a PhD in Georesources and Materials Engineering and a Diploma in Engineering, Fuel Engineering from RWTH Aachen University.
